There are a number of choices when it comes to Clinton Missouri hotels and motels. Another out side access motel in Clinton Missouri is the Best Western Motel. It is located on 13&7 Hwy across from the Boss Café and Just down the road from the Country Kitchen. The nice thing about the Best Western is that it is within walking distance of many of the Clinton Missouri restaurants. McDonalds, Wendy’s, Subway, and many more are close by without having to cross the highway.

Next, down the road from the Safari and USA Inn we have the Sportsman Lodge. This hotel has changed hands many times over the past few years and has undergone some renovations. The rates are reasonable for the area and it is an indoor access hotel. This Clinton MO hotel offers Meeting rooms and has a lounge on the premises. It use to contain a pool; however, the new owners have removed the pool at this time and use the huge atrium for events such as business meetings and wedding parties.

The final hotels in Clinton MO are the Parkfield Inn and the Hamton Inn. These chain hotels are relatively new to Clinton and offer some nice amenities. They are located next door to each other on 13 hwy across from the Clinton Walmart. They are both also within walking distance of a few Clinton MO restaurants. Applebee’s and El Camino are an easy walk from both locations. Also, most of the major fast food chains are close, but you may want to drive to avoid having to cross the highway. Both Clinton hotels offer indoor room access and indoor pools. They also both offer free continental breakfasts.

Clinton Missouri Newspaper

The only Clinton Missouri newspaper is the Clinton Daily Democrat. It has been in publication since 1868 and is published daily. It contains mostly local news from the Golden Valley area and some smaller communities such as Calhoun, Deepwater, Montrose, and Urich to name a few. Like a lot of small town newspapers it contains local church and school news. Also, unlike many larger metropolitan papers, it contains the police and sheriff reports were you can find out what the neighbors have been up to.

The Clinton newspaper also has a section on local school sports. They even cover some recreational league play. In addition, they have a local classified section and a local real estate section. The real estate section is comprised mostly of four by four ads placed by agents.

The Clinton Daily Democrat also publishes a weekly paper called the Kayo. It is primarily a paper containing a classified section, and the rest is advertisements. The Sac Osage Publishing has recently begun producing a similar paper called the Henry County Buyers Guide. It is basically the same format as the Kayo only slimmer. Also, the Kayo is a hand thrown paper; where as, the Buyers Guide is all mailed.

Many of the residents of Clinton Missouri and the surrounding communities also get their news from the Kansas City Star. Clinton is half way between Springfield and Kansas City; however, the majority of town prefers the Star.

Clinton Missouri real estate has been fairly well insulated from the turmoil experienced in most of the country. There are several lower priced homes that have sold slowly, but the market for higher priced homes in Clinton Missouri has remained fairly strong.

It is located on NE 100 road off of Vansant. Some other additions to consider would be West Point addition off of Kithcart road. There are several other smaller additions in Clinton Missouri, but these are the main ones. There are also several places close to town near Truman Lake that offer some stunning views of the lake from high on the bluffs.

When looking for real estate in Clinton there is a number of companies to choose from. Remax Truman Lake probably sells the most real estate. They are by far the largest real estate company in town. Next would be Coldwell Banker. They also sell a lot real estate, but not nearly as much as Remax. Other Clinton Missouri real estate companies to consider would be Anstine Real Estate and Reece Nichols.

Clinton also offers several rental options. There are always inexpensive houses for rent from one to three bedrooms. There are also several new duplexes recently completed and several more under construction. Also, there are several smaller apartment complexes with one and two bedroom units for rent in Clinton Mo.
